[Washington, DC] One concession to non-handmadeness this Christmas was this kids' digital camera for Bella. The pictures it takes are pretty low-res but surprisingly good, and some of them actually turned out looking kind of artsy, especially the ones taken from approximately three feet off the ground (Bella height). Playing with any kind of technology built for kids always makes me think the same two things: 1. "No fair, they didn't have this when I was a kid!" and 2. "Hey, this is way better than the first REAL digital camera I bought in 1999!"
Above, Bella at the Mammal exhibit of the Smithsonian Natural History Museum. Below, a slideshow of pics of family and friends, all taken by Bella. The camera is the Vtech Kidizoom, which must've been drastically discounted for the holidays, as I bought one each for Bella and her cousin at $39 apiece on Amazon, and now they're listed at $69+. Shopper of the Year!!!
